General Hospital fans have been abuzz on social media about the cuteness and size of the babies playing Amelia, Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow’s (Katey MacMillen) newborn daughter, and Ace, Nikolas (Adam Huss) and Esme’s (Avery Pohl) newborn son. Many have commented that the babies, while adorable, are not convincing newborns due to their size and alertness. Rebecca Herbst, who plays Elizabeth Webber, explained on Twitter why the show was using bigger babies.
In response to a fan explaining that there are rules about how babies can be used on set, Herbest replied, “Just to confirm what you’re saying…the rules have changed since COVID. #GH is no longer comfortable having infants under the age of 3 months on set. I know it’s hard to look past a ginormous newborn, but I applaud #GH for this decision. And we got Baby Ace out of it…a win/win!“
Another fan replied with a comment about baby Amelia and Herbst replied, “Yes! Let’s not forget about Baby Amelia! #GH hit the jackpot of cuteness with Ace & Amelia!“
Thanks for clearing that up for us all Rebecca! Now we can all just enjoy the cuteness overload!
