Kristen Vaganos is putting her comedic side to good use in a new production called Human Error! Her General Hospital colleagues showed some love by coming together for a “fun night out” at the Rogue Machine Theatre in Los Angeles this weekend to watch Kristen in action. The squad included Rick Hearst (her on-screen daddy, who makes his return as Ric Lansing this week), Tanisha Harper (Jordan), Tajh Bellow (TJ), Kate Mansi (Kristina), and Giovanni Mazza (Gio).
In this off-the-clock comedy, Vaganos stars as Madelyn, who, alongside Sameer, are NPR-listening, latte-sipping blue-staters who are planning a family. Or they were, until they learn that because of a mix-up at the fertility clinic, Madelyn’s embryo was accidentally implanted in another client’s uterus. That news is hard to take; fostering a relationship with the other couple, NASCAR-loving NRA cardholders, is even harder. Then the question comes, can these polar opposites make it through nine months of gestation without killing one another?
Human Error is written by Eric Pfeffinger, directed by Joshua Bitton and produced by Guillermo Cienfuegos. It stars Vaganos, Lauren Burns as Heather, Andrew Hawtrey as Dr. Hoskins, Kiel Kennedy as Jim and Kapil Talwalkar as Samir.
Sharing a photo from their night out, Rick Hearst wrote in his caption, “It’s funny one day you wake up and you realize you’re the elder statesman in the middle of all the bright young talent. It’s a beautiful place to be. Thanks for fun night out guys! Hats off to my TV daughter Kristen Vaganos for her hilarious performance in the Rogue Theater Machine Company production of HUMAN ERROR now playing at the Matrix Theater in Los Angeles. Run, don’t walk to catch this limited engagement. Bright and intelligent cast will have you.”
Vaganos has been described as such a laugh-getting live wire, much like Madelyn, that nobody would ever guess her day job is in the dramatic world of daytime soap operas.
Giovanni Mazza said, “Kristen Vaganos FREAKING ROCKED!! Awesome play! I could NOT stop laughing!”
Well, if you haven’t already checked out the play, make sure to grab your tickets and check it out!
