Robert Kelker-Kelly Dies at 62
According to TMZ, the medical examiner in Missouri confirmed his passing, though an official cause of death has not yet been released.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, to Jonetta Kelker, a nurse, and Robert Kelly, a pathologist, Kelker-Kelly grew up alongside his three sisters. Following his parents’ divorce when he was seven, he initially lived with his father before moving back in with his mother at age 11. Tragically, just three months after moving back, his father passed away from a heart attack at age 42.
Kelker-Kelly discovered his passion for performance while attending Wichita Collegiate School from 1977 to 1980, shining in major theater productions such as Guys and Dolls (as Rusty), Oliver! (as Bill Sikes), and Camelot (as Sir Lionel). Though he briefly enrolled at the University of Kansas, he ultimately chose to forgo college to pursue a full-time acting career.

Daytime audiences first fell in love with him when he originated the role of Sam Fowler on Another World (1987–1990). He later returned to the show as Dr. Shane Roberts from 1996 to 1998.
From 1992 to 1995, Kelker-Kelly took over the legendary role of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, delivering an unforgettable performance that cemented his status as a daytime heartthrob. He later brought his brooding charisma to General Hospital, where he played the villainous Stavros Cassadine from 2001 to 2003 and returned for a memorable reprisal from 2013 to 2014.
Beyond his impressive acting resume, Kelker-Kelly was also a passionate professional aircraft pilot, working in aviation from 2003 to 2015.
