General Hospital is about to get a new District Attorney according to SOD spoilers!!
With DA Margaux Dawson on her way out of town due to Elizabeth Hendrickson’s exit from the soap, the people of Port Charles need someone to take over the role. And who better than Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers)?!
Robert was recently forced into early retirement from the WSB, but his talents aren’t going to go to waste. According to co-head writer Shelly Altman in Soap Opera Digest, we will find out that Robert graduated from law school and one of his former friends from his time there is now the governor. It will be him who taps Scorpio to take the vacant position.
Between Robert’s new position and Mac (John J. York) as acting Police Commissioner, we are seeing the resurgence of the beloved Scorpio brothers!! With Altman adding “I love the Scorpio brothers. I think they add not only history to the show, but a really nice relationship and they also have relationships with so many other characters on the show….we’re really enjoying writing for both of them.”
Shelly also mentions that with Robert and his love Holly (Emma Samms) on the outs that a local lady could possibly catch his eye. Hellllloooo, Laura Webber? When Robert made his way back into town recently the two long-time friends seem to really hit it off. Robert even asked Laura (Genie Francis) to be his date to the Nurse’s Ball. Unfortunately, Laura did not get to attend the Nurse’s Ball as she was a tad busy dealing with the evil Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) at the time. Will LaScor actually happen? Stay tuned to find out.
Either way, we are so excited to see Robert in his new role! It’s always a treat to have Tristan Rogers on our screens!
