Are Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) on their way to being Days of Our Lives‘ hottest new pairing? We certainly think so!
Nobody could have guessed that the devious, sometimes sadistic Xander and the respectable Dr. Sarah Horton would be making Days fan’s hearts flutter, but they are! Xander was instantly intrigued after spotting Sarah at the Kiriakis mansion and made a point to ask Sonny (Freddie Smith) if he and Sarah were related. Better safe than sorry, eh? Sarah, on the other hand, wasn’t too thrilled about having the cocky criminal Xander hanging around the house.
After Sarah found out her fiancé Rex (Kyle Lowder) had cheated on her with her sister and she was rejected by Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), she was upset and left wondering if there was something wrong with her. To which Xander refuted and told her that she was special. This led to the two indulging in a night of drunken passion.
To Sarah horror, she realized what had happened between her and Xander after Eric discovered them in bed the next morning. Sarah wanted to forget and move on from the incident, which was easier while Xander was away, but since he came back to Salem he has been nothing but a thorn in her side. Xander constantly and shamelessly flirts with her. And as much as the girl complains about him, we can see that fiery passion and the glimmer in her eye as she fights back. She is as intrigued by him as he is with her. She just needs to hurry up and admit it!
And Xander’s recent behavior is bound to make Sarah reconsider her feelings sooner or later. He has started to show a kinder side to him. Starting with when he helped out Sarah’s mother, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), after she drank for the first time in thirty years. He made sure she was okay and talked with her about his troubled past and alcoholic mother, which made Maggie see him in a different light. Then he gave Dr. Rolf’s coveted diary to Sarah to help Will Horton (Chandler Massey) instead of selling it to the highest bidder. Which is a very un-Xander-like thing to do.
We know though that Xander still has some major secrets from Sarah and the rest of the town. Like his partnerships with Kristen Dimera (Stacy Haiduk), who is posing as Nicole Walker, and Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) who has helped fake Holly Jonas’ death. And we know that once these secrets get out that Sarah will probably never want to speak to Xander again, but we can’t help but wish for her forgiveness! The bad boy with a heart and the woman who accepts his flaws will always make for a great romance.
The on-screen chemistry between Godfrey and Telfer has been on full display during their recent scenes and it is captivating Days of Our Lives viewers. What do you think of Xander and Sarah? Are you team Xarah? Let us know what you think…
