One of the original cast members of Sistas, Novi Brown, who played Sabrina Hollins, has officially exited the show. The actress, who wrapped her run in Season 9 following a storyline where Sabrina met a terrible accident, finally addressed her departure on social media.

Taking to her Instagram on February 11, Novi shared a reel highlighting some of her favorite moments on set and behind-the-scenes memories with her former castmates. The reel was set to the song Brown Skin Girl, and the caption read:

“After 9 INCREDIBLE seasons, I’m closing a deeply meaningful chapter. I’m beyond grateful for the journey, the growth, and the love. I’m excited to step into what’s next. New stories, new characters, new possibilities.”

Castmates Pay Tribute

Former colleague Anthony Dalton, who played Calvin, one of Sabrina’s love interests, commented, “Job well done homie.”

Meanwhile, Branden Wellington (Tony) wrote:

“La familia para siempre. You’re a joy to work with and a joy to be around. Thank you for always being down to earth, welcoming, and warm. For everyone that can’t wait to see what you do next, take a moment and research what you’re doing now. You’re a star that’s already in orbit. Love you friend.”

Sabrina was a central part of the Sistas cast from the very beginning, working as a stylist and a reserved bank teller. But after nine seasons, Brown decided it was time to move on.

She wasn’t the only original cast member to exit after Season 9. Ebony Obsidian, who played Karen Mott since the show’s beginning, also left the series.
