We’re back with some more soap opera poll results, and this one definitely got fans talking.
We recently asked which soap opera couple should break up ASAP, and the results might surprise you… at least some of them.
As you know, soaps are famous for giving us couples we root for, couples we want gone, and those iconic supercouples we never forget. But even the best pairings can hit an expiration date. So, we asked fans to weigh in, and here’s how it all played out.
The Top 5 Couples Fans Want Done
Coming in at number one are The Bold and the Beautiful’s Deacon Sharpe and Sheila Carter, with 18.65% of the vote.
Their story started as a tale of two outcasts finding love.
Deacon really turned his life around by becoming the owner of Il Giardino, turning the restaurant into a local hotspot. While the rest of the town worried about Sheila’s checkered past, Deacon saw a kindred spirit. He gave her a chance and arguably made her a changed woman.
However, that love story—eight toes and all—hit the rocks when Sheila kept secrets, and Deacon sought out Dr. Taylor Hayes for psychiatric help. Eventually, he caught feelings for his therapist, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Right behind them in second place are Noah and Sienna from The Young and the Restless, with 18.42%.
Coming in second place are Noah and Sienna on The Young and the Restless with 18.42% of the votes. When Noah returned to the canvas, it was revealed he was having an affair with Sienna Bacall.
The catch? She’s the wife of Mitch, who turned out to be the villainous Matt Clark. Since Matt has a dangerous vendetta against Noah’s parents, that really tells you everything you need to know about why fans want this pair over. Obviously, the age difference isn’t the only factor.
More Drama-Filled Couples Make the List
In third place are Bill and Hayley from Beyond the Gates, pulling in 14.45% of the vote.
Fans have strong feelings about this one.
Since the show premiered in February 2025, we learned that Hayley was a woman who stole her best friend’s mom’s husband. But the story got even darker months ago when it was revealed she’s been running a long con on wealthy men.
Bill is just her latest target, and she has been serving him poisoned tea as part of her “Kill Bill” mission. It’s only a matter of time before everything blows up. Fairmont Crest is going to explode when this finally comes to light.
Moving over to General Hospital, Carly and Brennan took fourth place with 10.54% of the votes.
Their relationship started in early 2025 and, like most soap couples, has its fair share of ups and downs.
While no one can deny their chemistry, fans think it’s time to call it quits. Brennan loves Carly, clearly! But she has been playing him ever since she found out he has been keeping secrets. One in particular, that he got her daughter into the WSB.
Since then, she has partnered with and has been sleeping with Valentin, and it seems that viewers want to see more of that instead.
Rounding out the top five is another General Hospital pair, Willow and Drew, with 10.13% of the votes.
Although there is no love left between them, they are still legally married.
Recent episodes revealed that Willow was actually the one who shot Drew in the back last September. Plus, she later drugged him with a syringe, which led to his “locked-in” state. Now that Willow has confessed everything to Nina, we can’t wait to see how Port Charles reacts when the truth hits the fan.
