September has been a great month for soap opera fans! There have been a number of incredible performances from Days of Our Lives’ Robert Scott Wilson, General Hospital’s Nancy Lee Grahn, and The Young and the Restless’ Sharon Case! Though, there was one that stood out among the best this month: The Bold and the Beautiful’s Jacqueline MacInnes Wood.

Steffy Forrester is one of the strongest female characters we have in the genre today. So, to see her breaking down at the weight of her inner struggles and physical pain from her accident left us in tears. Jacqueline showed up and shined as Steffy’s behavior turned erratic when confronted about her pain pill addiction. It was heartbreaking but serving as somewhat of a PSA for opioid addiction…it was necessary.

While we’re placing our bets on Wood to win the Emmy for Lead Actress next year, her powerful performance was matched by her castmates Scott Clifton, Annika Noelle, Katherine Kelly Lang, and Thorsten Kaye, which made for phenomenal work across the board!
