Spring is in the air, and so is our Star of the Month! This month, the new kids on the block, Beyond the Gates, get the nod with the spotlight on Karla Mosley.
Mosley is wasting no time reminding us (not that we forgot) that she is still a delicious diva of daytime and her alter ego, Dani Dupree, has already positioned herself as a new darling of daytime.
Karla Mosley
Born August 27, 1981, Mosley, an actress, voice-over artist, and singer, was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. Mosley graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and went on to study in France at the Roy Hart Vocal Institute. In her youth, she was a part of a children’s rock group, Sugar Beats, and while in college, she was on the Australian TV show Hi-5.
Mosley has performed on television, film, and stage. In the daytime world, she is known for her roles on Guiding Light (Christina Boudreau) and The Bold and the Beautiful (Maya Avant). As Maya, Mosley is etched in daytime history with what will forever be one of the most progressive and jaw-dropping moments in daytime history. Everyone remembers where they were when it was revealed that Maya was a transgender woman. Iconic.
Dani Dupree
Now, Mosley is picking up where she left off as Dani Dupree. Has it only been a little over a month since Dani debuted on our screens? She sure has been one busy bee. Shooting up a wedding, ransacking homes, taking over press conferences, hitting the sheets with Andre, hitting the bottle, and pretty much stirring up “stuff” wherever she goes. And in one of our favorite moments of Beyond The Gates so far, Dani turned the police station into her own personal runway, posing for her mugshot. Love it!
Mosley’s Dani is vivacious, fraught, vengeful, loving, protective, bold, hilarious, sexy, intelligent, and a force to be reckoned with. And no matter what she is up to, she and Mosley are always fun and entertaining. March has been one heck of a ride and we can’t wait to see what or who they stir up next!
