Hansis has proven time and time again that he is one of the best in the business. Since his character’s beau, Marco Rios, was killed off in late March, Hansis has had some incredibly heavy material to sink his teeth into.
Mourning a great love is never easy, but Hansis made every single scene feel raw and remarkably real. He brought the tears, the silence, and the visceral pain of loss to life with a groundedness that didn’t go unnoticed by the fans. It’s no wonder viewers turned out in droves to vote him as their top pick. An actor who can make the audience feel that level of heartbreak deserves every bit of recognition coming his way.
Kimberlin Brown: The Evolution of Sheila Carter
Over on The Bold and the Beautiful, the third most-voted star of the month, Kimberlin Brown, was busy keeping us all on the edge of our seats. As the iconic Sheila Carter Sharpe, Brown took us on a rollercoaster when Sheila finally discovered that her husband, Deacon, was romantically involved with his therapist, Taylor Hayes.
The “old” Sheila might have reached for a weapon or a bottle of poison, but Brown played a much more nuanced hand this time. She surprised everyone by choosing to walk away from Deacon—though, in true Sheila fashion, she didn’t leave without a chilling promise that she’d be back. Brown’s ability to balance Sheila’s vulnerability with her underlying menace is exactly why she remains a fan favorite after all these years.
