Happy new month, soap fans! Soap Opera News is kicking things off with not one but two Stars of the Month; the fan favorite and our editorial pick. Fans crowned Jane Elliot as Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital via our recent poll, while Soap Opera News taps Lisa Yamada, who tore up the screen as Luna Nozawa on The Bold and the Beautiful this November.
So, let’s roll back the November soap curtain, shall we?
Lisa Yamada
Yamada went out with an absolute bang as Luna, and honestly, “bang” might be too gentle for the month she had. From breaking out of prison to being mowed down by a moving car, Luna checked off nearly every box on the Soap Chaos Bingo card.
She couldn’t shake her obsession with Will Spencer, and once she learned he’d settled into the beach house with Electra, Luna decided that simply would not do. Not on her watch. NOT even over her dead body (pun intended).
After whipping up her escape plan and busting out of prison, she made a beeline to Will’s “#NewDigs.”
But the reunion didn’t unfold the way she imagined. Instead, she ended up blurting out the heartbreaking truth about their child, saying she’d miscarried, and practically pleading for Will to give them another chance.
The emotions were running so high you could practically feel the walls shaking, the beach house started to feel less like a love nest and more like the setup for a full-blown crime scene ( I mean, haven’t we been here before?).
Then came the cops. Luna bolted into the fog, everyone chased her, and the whole thing ended with Luna running straight into the busy L.A. traffic, and straight into a speeding car. A brutal exit, right? But what a performance. Yamada, fresh off her first Daytime Emmy, has definitely secured her reel for next year. Luna may be gone, but Yamada’s powerhouse work will echo through soap history for decaes to come.
Jane Elliot
Now, over on General Hospital, what can we say about THEE Queen Jane Elliot that hasn’t already been etched in daytime legend? Her trophy shelf alone does half the talking. This November, she delivered classic Tracy Quartermaine gold; sharp, witty, and layered in a way only Elliot can deliver.
The standout moment? Her scene with Erika Slezak (Ronnie Bard), when she invited Ronnie back to the Quartermaine mansion for a what-do-you-know-moment; one where Tracy would let down her guard and finally apologize.
Ronnie told her the truth straight, no sugarcoating, and in that moment when Tracy stopped, apologized, and let the tears fall… it was nothing short of stunning. A performance to treasure for years to come.
Huge congrats to Lisa Yamada and Jane Elliot; our Stars of the Month for November 2025. Two unforgettable women, two unforgettable performances, and one very lucky month for soap fans everywhere.
