Have you watched the latest episode of State of Mind hosted by Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos)? The newest episode was released on YouTube on June 2, 2024 and features his General Hospital colleague, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). If not, it’s definitely worth checking out!
The good friends delved into Steve’s early days as an actor, his resilience through his parents’ divorce, and the pivotal decision to live with his father during his teenage years.
The conversation expanded to cover Steve Burton’s experiences at Beverly Hills High School, the nascent stages of his acting journey, and ultimately, his breakthrough role as Jason Quartermaine on General Hospital.
The two of them also chatted about the time when Maurice hopped on board the show as Sonny, a period when Bernard saw promise in Burton and really helped him develop as an actor and even delved into the topic of anxiety for a bit.
Maurice also gave props to Steve for his awesome 1998 Emmy reel, which ultimately lead to his well-deserved Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Daytime Drama Series.
Furthermore, Bernard playfully poked fun at Burton’s 80s look, bringing some lightheartedness to the interesting chat. You’ve got to check out this enriching conversation—it’s a must-see! Find the link to the full video below.
