Soaps have always been a delightful escape from reality, and this week, viewers were showered with a ton of stunning performances from the soap stars of the four daytime sudsers, with Soap Opera News crowning Tajh Bellow (TJ Ashford, General Hospital) as the Performer of the Week!
In the latest episodes of the ABC daytime drama, after Ava’s trial, TJ and Molly returned home to confront the reality of their lives. Molly, in a bid to sweep everything under the rug, declared that what happened to Kristina and the baby was just an accident, but for TJ, he struggled—struggled to see it that way and was stunned that the woman he loves did. The tension escalates as TJ confronts Molly for confiding her grief over Irene in others rather than sharing it with him.
Their emotional sit-down led to some stunning revelations, one where Molly confessed that she doesn’t think she ever wants to try being a mom again while TJ, on the other hand, hasn’t given up on the idea of becoming a dad. After a tearful chat, the two decided to take a break from their relationship, and TJ packed his bags.

Tajh Bellow is clearly an asset to this show, and this week’s masterful handling of those emotional scenes proved just that. Bellow was nothing short of fabulous, delivering a raw, gut-wrenching performance. His ability to flawlessly convey such deep emotional turmoil has earned him the title of Performer of the Week.
