This past weekend, Beyond the Gates‘ leading man, Sean Freeman, had a mind-blowing encounter—he met a fan of the show, and guess what? She’s family! That’s right, one of the eldest members of his paternal clan, whom he had never met before.
Freeman, who stars as Andre Richardson on BTG, was so touched that he could’ve burst into happy tears. He shared a clip of this family encounter and captioned, “I met an 88-years-young fan of @beyondthegatescbs over the weekend, and what makes it even more special is that she’s one of the eldest members of my paternal family—but someone I’d never met before. “Aunt” Nancy❤️. I spent time with her and her daughter, LaLa, both of whom are former educators from the part of the world where I was born and raised. That day will forever be special to me. I was truly taken aback and honored. For her to see her father’s sister’s great-grandson on TV Monday – Friday has been one of the joys of her life. I had the chance to thank her and kiss her hand. Man, God is too good.”
