The Bold and the Beautiful alum, Lesley-Anne Down (ex-Jackie Marone) has landed a major film role. She will be playing Margaret Thatcher (former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) in the upcoming Reagan biopic.
Down joins Dennis Quaid who will play Ronald Reagan (former US President), Anne Miller who will play Nancy Reagan, Jon Voight who will play KGB spy and Mena Suvari who plays Reagan’s first wife, Jane Wyman.
Down told Screendaily, “To be asked to portray one of the most formidable female politicians of all time is an honour. Working opposite Dennis Quaid as Reagan is certainly a career highlight. Being part of anything made during Covid is a miracle – this amazing production is the bomb!”
The biopic will span the former US president’s life from humble origins in Illinois to his ascendency to the White House in 1981, by way of a Hollywood career and the California governorship.
Sean McNamara is the director. The story is written by Howard Klausner with Mark Joseph as producer. Down is also known for playing LAdy Sheraton on Days of Our Lives, Olivia Richards on Sunset Beach and Stephanie Rogers on Dallas.
