It’s that time of year again for The Chat Awards. The popular podcast, hosted by Casey Hutchinson, Alan, and Rodrigo, is gearing up for its third annual awards ceremony, celebrating the best in daytime television.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 16, beginning at 7 p.m. Central on The Chat’s page on X, formerly known as Twitter. The nominees have already started rolling out and include familiar names from fans’ favorite daytime soap operas.
What Are The Chat Awards?
The Chat Awards were created to recognize standout performances and achievements from the first half of the year across daytime television. As in previous years, a panel of judges will cast votes to determine one winner in each category.
This year’s nominees include talent and productions from all five current daytime soap operas, with several shows competing in major categories like Best Drama Series, Best Writing, and Best Directing.

Deidre Hall Receives The Chat Award for Excellence in Daytime Drama
One of the biggest highlights this year is the announcement that Deidre Hall will receive The Chat Award for Excellence in Daytime Drama.
Hall, who is best known for portraying Dr. Marlena Evans on Days of Our Lives, is currently celebrating an incredible 50 years on the soap.
According to The Chat team:
“This year’s #ChatAward, celebrating excellence in the field of daytime drama, we have chosen to honor Deidre Hall, best known to daytime audiences as Dr. Marlena Evans on the Peacock soap opera, Days of Our Lives.”
