The Haves and the Have Nots star, Crystal Fox (Hanna Young) is walking in her grand path of success. From being born in Tyron, North Carolina to landing her first lead role in a movie and now getting her first billboard.

Fox began her professional acting career in the late 1970s. She was a Police Officer Luann Corbin in the series In the Heat of the Night (1988). She has also appeared in several theatrical productions, including “For Colored Girls” and “Everybody’s Ruby”.  It was 2013 however, that she probably earned one of her biggest roles as Hanna Young on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots on OWN. After seven great seasons, Fox landed her first lead role as Grace Waters in Netflix’s A Fall from Grace which premieres on January 17. It was via this that Fox made it to her first billboard in New York Times Square.

Fox is extremely grateful for her success. “So LISTEN!!! God is trying to wear me OUT in 2020! I have been trying to put out a ‘year in review’ collage full of gratitude & share with y’all how GOD WILL REMEMBER EVERY TEAR, EVERY STRUGGLE & all your commitment, but before I could do this a whirlwind of things have happened: 2 movies are coming out, a SAG AWARDS nomination I get to share with an award winning cast that includes one of my greatest inspirations (Meryl Streep)& a NETFLIX media tour begins for one of those movies that also includes 2 more of my lifelong inspirations (Cicely Tyson & Phylicia Rashad) & then I wake up to get this from my boss, my FRIEND & the person who gave me MY FIRST LEAD ROLE IN A FILM……TYLER PERRY!!!!!!!! I will love you forever & you KNOW that!!!! I will also love EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU THAT HAVE & ARE SENDING ALL THOSE MESSAGES OF LOVE AND SUPPORT & HOPE FOR ME!!! This means more to me than you’ll EVER know!! I’M IN TIME SQUARE Y’ALL!!

Her boss and friend, Perry wrote, “You have no idea how happy this makes me. THANK YOU @netflix!! Let me tell you what brings me to my knees in gratitude. @only1crystalfox has been in this business for years, and she never got her big break. This woman has been through it!
