Taja V. Simpson (Priscilla Owens, The Oval) has been cast in a recurring role in the upcoming third season of Starz’s television series, Hightown, as reported by Deadline.
The crime drama series is set in Cape Cod, Hightown, and follows Jackie Quiñones (Monica Raymund) along her journey to sobriety that is overshadowed by an unfolding murder investigation. The series also stars James Badge Dale and Riley Voelkel.
Simpson has been cast as Janelle, a no-nonsense physical therapist at the Provincetown prison who has been more than able to hold her own with the prisoners. After years of keeping her guard up, she has fallen for the prisoner, Osito. But as the saying goes nothing lasts forever. Or can it?
