Robert Newman (Ashland Locke, The Young & The Restless) is in Peacock’s original limited series Joe vs. Carole!  It’s a biography-comedy-crime-drama series created by Etan Frankel and Kate McKinnon based off of the 2019 Wondery podcast “Joe Exotic: Tiger King,” hosted and reported by Robert Moor.  According to Peacock’s website, “The limited series will center on Carole Baskin, a big cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel is breeding and using his big cats for profit. She sets out to shut down his venture, inciting a quickly escalating rivalry. But Carole has a checkered past of her own and when the claws come out, Joe will stop at nothing to expose what he sees as her hypocrisy. The results prove dangerous.”.

Kate McKinnon will be playing Carole Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell will be playing Joe Exotic.  Robert Newman will be in two out of the eight total episodes as a gun salesman.  Other cast members include: Brian Van Holt, Sam Keeley, Kyle MacLachlan, Marlo Kelly, Shareena Clanton, Lex Mayson, Anthony J. Sharpe, Nat Wolff, and Dean Winters.

Joe vs. Carole is currently available to watch on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock.
