The Young and the Restless is set to air its remarkable 13,000th episode on November 13, 2024, and to kick off this significant milestone, an exciting on-set celebration took place on October 24, 2024, in Los Angeles, California. The event was graced by familiar faces from the CBS daytime drama, along with notable returns including Brytni Sarpy, Loren Lott, and others.
The Young and the Restless—often abbreviated as Y&R—is the #1 daytime drama that was created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. The show is set in the fictional Genoa City, which is named after the real-life town in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Y&R premiered on March 26, 1973, when it was originally broadcast as half-hour episodes aired five times a week. But not for long—on February 4, 1980, the show expanded to one-hour episodes!
