When it comes to soap opera couples, there’s rarely a middle ground — fans either ship them hard or hit the fast-forward button. And when it comes to The Young and the Restless’ Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin), we’re dying to know where viewers stand.
Let’s rewind a bit. Claire didn’t exactly stroll into Genoa City with a halo. Thanks to her devious aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), she arrived with a full-on vendetta against the Newmans. But when that plot twist came: she’s actually the long-lost daughter of Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole (J. Eddie Peck), everthing changed. Since that bombshell dropped, Claire’s gone from villain to reformed heroine — and pretty successfully, we might add.
Are Y&R’s Kyle and Claire Hot or Not?
These days, Claire’s checking all the boxes: successful businesswoman, Newman family-approved (mostly), adored by young Harrison (Redding Munsell), and, oh yeah, she’s captured Kyle Abbott’s heart—a definite bonus, considering romance was never really part of her past.
Now, was it Claire’s love for Harrison that made Kyle take notice? Quite possibly. Seeing her care for his son definitely helped soften his heart — and we can’t blame him. That’s some classic soap-worthy charm. But how do fans feel about it?
Yay or Nay?

Since their romance began, the fan reactions have been mixed—some swoon, others snooze. And now, with Kyle and Claire officially an item, they’re doing everything (and we mean everything) to earn Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) blessing. However, Victor doesn’t hand those out easily… especially when family’s involved.
We’ve seen the sweet dates, steamy kisses, and bedroom moments. The chemistry is definitely there — but does it spark enough or does it stall? We want to hear from you!
So we’re tossing the question to you, the fans: Are Kyle and Claire your next soap power couple? Do they sizzle or fizzle?
Sound off — are they soaring, or are they boring? (Photos: JPI/CBS.)
