Today on The Young and the Restless, December 30, 2024: Victor and Nikki question Nick supporting Sharon, Ian and Jordan make a dangerous move, and Danny races home to surprise Christine in time for New Year’s Eve.
Genoa City was primed to kick off the new year! Victor and Nikki were at the Newman Ranch, engaging in a riveting discussion about the year’s shenanigans! Meanwhile, Sharon was at home with her girls, reminiscing about a year so terrible, yet she remained as optimistic as ever, hoping for a spectacular 2025. She would then surprise the girls by announcing that it was time for her to get out again. So, she ultimately decided she would join them at Society.
Later, Nick swung by with some big news: the case is officially being reopened! As Nick learned that Sharon was going to be going out with the girls, he decided he couldn’t possibly miss the fun, but first, he needed to make a stop at the ranch. Over at Crimson Lights, Claire was bubbling with excitement, talking to Esther about celebrating her first New Year with the Newmans while Jordan was eavesdropping on the patio. A text from Ian summoned her to Society, where mischief and danger were brewing and their plan would kick into high gear.
Meanwhile, at the Abbott Mansion, Jack and Diane invited Traci, who would be celebrating an “Alan-less” New Year’s (because he wasn’t able to get a flight in), to join them at Jazz Lounge, the hot spot in town, where Michael, Lauren, Christine, Summer, Daniel, and Phyllis were all gathered. Phyllis was trying to forget her 2024 nightmare while side-eyeing Michael for taking Sharon’s case, only to find out that the case was officially being reopened. Classic! Nonetheless, she vowed to bite her tongue for her kids’ sake while dreaming of a much better year ahead. Danny made a grand entrance, defying being snowed in to surprise Christine. Surprise indeed! Then, in a classic countdown pile-up, everyone goes “3, 2, 1” as they ring in the new year!
Back at the ranch, Nick swung by with Faith and updated his parents about Sharon’s case. He told them that Sharon recalled some very important memories during hypnotherapy: spoiler alert—she did NOT kill Heather! Claire later joined the clan, and they all raised their glasses in the toast to 2025—the year they hoped would be the best of all!
Society
At Society, Devon and Abby were over the moon, celebrating their first New Year’s as happy newlyweds, while Tessa was hustling to get everything on point at the sizzling GC restaurant. All the while, Ian was lurking and peering through the glass. He popped in, asked if she remembered him, and then proceeded to request a reservation for two. However, Tessa, bless her heart, told him the place was fully booked but offered to put him on the waiting list. As she stepped away, Ian made a dangerous move—he drugged her water. Did someone say plan in motion? When she returned, she told him she’d call if any spots opened up and then drank her water, blissfully unaware she was sipping on his concoction.
Later, Tessa wobbled over to Abby and Devon. She told them that she felt lightheaded—well, that escalated quickly! So off she went for some fresh air, only to bump into Ian yet again. She was staggering, tumbling right into his arms and gasping; she couldn’t breathe!
Meanwhile, Mariah arrived, and she quickly asked what was going on with Tessa. But when she spotted Ian, she was shocked to see his face—priceless! As for Sharon, outside her car, she was caught off guard when Jordan approached her from behind with a chloroform napkin in hand. Will Sharon be kidnapped? Stay tuned!
