Beyond the Gates is making major moves this fall with its second big crossover, and this time, it’s welcoming a The Bold and the Beautiful icon into the fold. Fan-favorite Thorsten Kaye, best known as Ridge Forrester, is set to step into the Beyond the Gates universe in an unexpected twist that could shake up the Fairmont Crest storylines.
Ridge Forrester Goes Beyond the Gates
According to Beyond the Gates fall spoilers, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre’s (Sean Freeman) spontaneous trip leads to shocking revelations and to a surprising connection with none other than Ridge Forrester. This move marks a direct crossover with The Bold and the Beautiful.
And this isn’t the first time Beyond the Gates has pulled this off.
Earlier this season, Bryton James brought over his Young and the Restless character, Devon Hamilton Winters, in a crossover that saw him sharing scenes with Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree) and Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree).
A Soap Tradition
Crossovers are nothing new in the world of daytime dramas. CBS soaps have long shared cast and characters; Y&R and B&B have seen multiple actor swaps and story connections over the years. Even ABC once had its own shared soap universe, with characters crossing between All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital before the latter stood alone.
With the return of Beyond the Gates on September 8 following a week-long break, viewers have already been thrown back into the drama. The show picked up with the aftermath of Chelsea’s hostage situation and Allison’s arrest, while Ted pulled one over on Leslie, and Eva took her mother’s side.
