Today on The Bold and the Beautiful: Finn accuses Grace. Nick prepares to propose to Brooke during a boat outing, unaware Ridge is racing to Naples to stop him.
B&B Recap August 5: Hope Visits Liam
Hope visits Liam and checks to make sure he’s warm enough. She gently fusses over him, adjusting his blanket and offering to grab another one, just in case.
Liam chuckles and points out that the extra blanket already on top of the first one is more than enough to keep him snug.
She pauses, wondering if she’s going a little overboard. He gives her a look and admits, yeah, maybe just a bit. She can’t argue with that. She just can’t help it—she’s worried about him.
That makes him smile. Then he surprises her by saying he’s starting to worry about her now. She blinks. He’s the one recovering from brain surgery, not her.
Still, he’s got a point. She’s been by his side every single day, sometimes for hours on end, barely taking a break. He notices. And he appreciates it more than he can say.
But Hope doesn’t even think twice about it. She tells him she’s not going anywhere—not until she’s completely sure he’s going to be okay.
Liam says he probably already is. The tumor is gone, and he’s finally on the road to recovery.
Hope nods, quietly admitting it’s all thanks to Dr. Buckingham.
Liam reflects on how he’s been saying the name “Dr. Buckingham” for months now. It’s weird, he thinks. Does Hope feel the same way? That name carries two very different meanings for him. On one hand, there’s Grace — the woman who gave him a second chance at life. On the other, there’s the Buckingham who stole their daughter. Wild, right? Liam calls it the tale of two Buckinghams and honestly, he’s not wrong. It’s crazy.
Still, he’s grateful for Grace. She gave him what he calls his second miracle. The first? Getting Beth back. Nothing tops that, but this comes close.
Finn Confronts Grace
Elsewhere, Finn confronts Grace. He brings up the million dollars Bill paid and says something doesn’t add up. Grace confirms the payment, but Finn isn’t buying the story. He argues that Liam’s surgery couldn’t possibly cost that much. He wants the truth, and he wants it now.
Grace stays calm and says the surgery had to be done privately, outside the hospital, and her colleague wasn’t exactly budget-friendly. Finn gets that it was expensive, sure, but was it really necessary?
Grace says absolutely. If they hadn’t done it, Liam would’ve died. Simple as that.
But Finn’s not convinced. He points out that Grace was the one who first claimed Liam had a tumor. He’s gone through the MRI scans she sent Bill, and something seems off. Actually, a lot seems off. There are holes in the whole case.
Now, Finn’s left wondering… did Liam even have brain cancer at all?
Grace says she’s busy and needs to get back to work. But Finn steps in, trying to stop her. He tells her they’ve worked together for months, and something about her feels off. Things just aren’t adding up.
He says he looked at Liam’s incision, and it’s way too small for the kind of surgery that was supposedly done. That raises a red flag. On top of that, the neuro team has no documentation—nothing, except a vague mention of a bleeding. How is that even possible?
Finn stares at her and asks the hard question. Was it all fake? Did Liam even have a brain tumor at all? Grace breaks down and admits she had no choice, she needed the money. People were threatening her and her daughters: Reese and his gambling debts came back to haunt her.
Ridge Throws a Fit
Ridge is having a full-blown meltdown. Eric just told him that Nick plans to propose to Brooke, and Ridge is not having it. Not for one second. He storms off, determined to stop it. Meanwhile, Eric stays behind, pacing and remembering seeing Nick with a ring. He leaves the room, determined to find Brooke.
B&B Recap August 5: Nick and Brooke
Nick and Brooke are sitting down for a bite to eat. Brooke’s excited to be on a boat with Nick again. It’s been ages. She tells him he’s full of surprises, and honestly, she’s loving it.
As Ridge rushes toward the docks, he passes two men arguing. They’re the same guys who were helping Nick with the boat earlier. Ridge grills them for answers. They tell him they’ve been trying to fix the boat, but it’s a mess. No good. Hearing that, Ridge bolts, thinking he might still have a shot to save the day.
Nick and Brooke get on the boat while Ridge tries to call her, but gets her voicemail. He spots the two on the boat and races off to try and stop them before it’s too late. Two boats collide, Brooke falls off and Ridge jumps into the water to save her.
