Tony Todd, who made a number of appearances on The Young and the Restless, has passed away at the age of 69. He died at his home in Los Angeles on November 6, 2024.

Born on December 4, 1954, in Washington, D.C., Todd was the son of Evetta Lyons Gaither and enjoyed his childhood in Hartford, Connecticut, where he attended local schools, including Hartford Public High School. He was also an esteemed alumnus of the Artists Collective, Inc. Afterward, he attended the University of Connecticut and further refined his craft at the prestigious Tony Award-winning Eugene O’Neill National Actors Theatre Institute and the Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, Rhode Island.

His sister is actress Monique Dupree, and he was the proud father of two children. Tony Todd was a distinguished American actor, known for portraying the titular character in the Candyman film series and William Bludworth in the Final Destination franchise. In 2013, he took on the role of Gus Rogan, the incarcerated father of Leslie and Tyler Michaelson on Y&R.
