It’s that time of year again! We are almost ready to crown the best soap opera of 2024, but first, Soap Opera News has whipped up a fabulous list of the top 10 female soap performers of 2024—plus a few honorary mentions! These talented ladies have delivered performances so unforgettable that they’ve made us laugh, cry, and occasionally contemplate flinging our remotes at the TV (no judgment!). We also took into consideration how much airtime they got, the weight of their performances, and, of course, the sheer chaos they managed to conjure up on screen. This was one of those categories that was really tough to narrow down on! But against all odds, we managed to name the top 10! Let’s give a round of applause to everyone who made the list this year! After witnessing back-to-back performances, we crowned Sharon Case as our ultimate 2024 favorite for her role as Sharon Collins on The Young and the Restless. Case is a phenomenal actress leading the pack with a storyline that made many go, Wow! or What the hell?!
And can we talk about Vaganos, our top breakout soap star? She left us gobsmacked with her talent—jaw on the floor, folks! Nancy Lee Grahn, a bona fide legend, served up a masterclass in grief after her onscreen daughter’s death. Seriously, wow—if awards were given for tearing our hearts out, she’d win hands down! Major shoutout to the top 3, because you all rocked it! Job well done—gold stars for everyone who made the 2024 list!
