Is there enough room for a new Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless? With Eileen Davidson’s decision to vacate the role in order to spend more time with her family, the show may decide to either write out the character or recast the role. And, who better to recast the role with than with somebody who actually resembles Eileen. Fans are already fan-casting a new Ashley and have suggested former soap star, Tracy Melchior for the job. And, she’s open to doing it. In reply to a fan who suggested that the show hire her, she replied, “Since The Bold and The Beautiful hasn’t had any story for me in awhile.. and everyone has always told me I look like Eileen this could be fun!”
For those who are not aware, Melchior is known for her different soap roles such as; Kristen Forrester Dominguez on ‘B&B’, Kelly Cramer on ‘One Life to Live’, Renee on ‘Passions’, Tess Marin on ‘Sunset Beach’ and Veronica Lander on ‘Y&R’. So, fans what are your thoughts on this fan-casting?
