Van Hansis is taking over the role of Lucas Jones on General Hospital! TV Insider first reported the news.
If you’re a daytime TV junkie, you’ll remember Van best for his role as Luke Snyder on As The World Turns from 2005 to 2010. He’s set to make his debut as Lucas Jones on General Hospital starting Friday, October 4. But heads up, there might be a Major League Baseball wild card game that could bump the show off Thursday, October 3, and push his episode to Monday, October 7 instead.
Hansis racked up three Daytime Emmy nominations for his ATWT gig, including two for Outstanding Younger Actor and one for Outstanding Supporting Actor. He also grabbed four more Daytime Emmy nods for playing Thom on the web series turned streaming hit EastSiders.
Lucas was portrayed by a few actors; Logan O’Brien, J. Evan Bonifant, C.J. Thomason, Ryan Carnes, and Ben Hogestyn. Matt Trudeau took over the role for a few appearances before Carnes returned briefly in 2024 to honor his on-screen mom, the late Jacklyn Zeman, and her character, Bobbie.
