Vivica. A Fox is celebrating her 58th birthday today! She was born, Vivica Anjanetta Fox on July 30, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana as the daughter of Everlyena and William Fox. 



Superstar and award-winning actress and producer Vivica Fox began her career in the entertainment industry on the “hippest trip in America” also known as Soul Train. From there Fox landed a role on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and then landed her first regular series role also in daytime on Generations. It wasn’t too long thereafter that Fox and her career catapulted to stardom. She also played Stephanie Simmons on The Young and the Restless.

 

Her performances in the films Independence Day, Set It Off, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, Soul Food, Kill Bill, Two Can Play That Game, Independence Day: Resurgence and Three Can Play That Game are perfect illustrations of why Fox became a fan favorite and a household name.

 

Fox also starred in numerous television series including NBC’s Out All Night, CBS’s City of Angels, Lifetime’s Missing (also co-executive produced), HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Fox’s Empire, among so many others, as well as making countless guest star appearances on various TV shows throughout her career.

 

Among Fox’s memorable roles in television movies are Sharknado 2: The Second One, the TV biopic Bobbi Kristina, The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time, several Christmas TV movies, and David DeCoteau TV movies, including The Wrong Stepmother, The Wrong Boy Next Door, The Wrong Mommy, The Wrong Tutor, and The Wrong Cheerleader. 

 

Additionally, in 2018, Fox released the “part memoir, part inspirational” novel, Every Day I’m Hustling, which focuses on Fox’s career and relationships.
