Villy? Vane? Neither?

We want a Villy vs Vane triangle bad. Yes! Yes! Pretty Please Yes! We make our case of why below.

Billy and Victoria an Abbott and a Newman. We were on board since day one. Yes, there was Victor and Ashley but Victor always have and will always be Nikki’s. Billy and Victoria had history with others but not enough to stop them from creating their own.

Billy Miller and Amelia Heinle were gold. The actors played so well off each other. Theirs was a light, fun easy vibe. It looked effortless. Their reel vibe were total opposites and it totally worked.

Billy a funny, charming, take nothing too seriously, always kind of messing up guy with cool, rigid, perfectionist, ice princess, Victoria. It was a match made in soap opera heaven. To be honest, Villy didn’t have the same umph after Billy Miller left Y&R. And to be completely honest when Jason Thompson first came on canvas as Billy, Villy as a pairing wasn’t clicking. So, when a repeat was on the horizon we were like well…But what do we know?  We are digging Villy this go around. Jason has found his sweet spot and making Billy his own. And Villy has something. We were ready to give our ticket to the conductor and board the Villy train when BAM here comes Vane!

There were hints of something between Victoria and Cane in the past but it was never fully explored. But as we see now; it should have been. Amelia and Daniel are so rocking this. It would seem that Vane came out of nowhere but when you think about it, it makes sense. Cane’s whole world turned upside down. He is missing his wife. He’s suddenly a single dad (of sorts) for two teens. Charlie is “drinking”. Cane hasn’t had sex in months. And it’s not like Cane hasn’t ever cheated before. He’s not new to cheating and lying and that was when Lily wasn’t in the slammer.

Victoria is still reeling from being abused by JT. Her momma killed her baby daddy to protect her. She’s an accomplice to murder not knowing when the truth will come out. Her momma started drinking again. Her daddy has been arrested for the murder her momma committed. Victoria and Cane are both on the edge.

Billy has been spiraling for months. We know it’s not in his character to be alone for long. He and Victoria were married, they have kids together and they love and care for one another. Villy trying again makes sense as well.

This Vane and Villy triangle could be the best thing to happen to Y&R in ages if done correctly. These are our thoughts on why it’s a no brainer that this triangle must happen and why it should be full steam ahead.

  • Cane and Billy. Historically they can’t stand each other. There is built in animosity built-in hostility.
  • You have three veteran actors who know how to do super coupling and triangles.
  • You don’t have to create or manufacture a reckon backstory. There is actual real written HISTORY already in place.
  • After 2018 Y&R needs a boost.
  • Lane needs this. This couple is better when they have obstacles and not just sitting there smiling at each other. The Juliet storyline was the best thing that had happened to Lane since Tyler.
  • Victoria has nice sweet we’ve been there for each other we still love each other chemistry with Billy. And a hot “to hell with it all” let’s just do what we feel chemistry with Cane. Goodness people it writes itself!
  • And the most important reason why this triangle needs to happen; Y&R is still a soap opera. We want drama, soapy messy drama!

Let’s also help Y&R by telling them what to mix in with a Vane vs Villy triangle;

  • Lily, Sharon and Nick. Lily and Victoria also have a history of friction when Lily worked at Newman. Sharon and Billy have a spark. And Nick and Lily could be a sleeper coupling.
  • Bring Jill back to mediate between Cane and Billy.
  • Bring Reed back and let him date Mattie.

Okay, we rest our case. Now you need to vote; Villy? Vane? Neither?
