Last week on The Bold and the Beautiful, particularly in the July 18th episode, the story surrounding Liam’s (Scott Clifton) brain tumor took a stunning twist that has left us all wondering: was it a scam all along? Did Grace (Cassandra Creech) come up with a way to scam a ton of money out of Bill?
What We Know About Liam’s Tumor
Let’s recap for a minute! Liam was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor back in April. The shocking diagnosis came after he collapsed and hit his head following a fight with his father, Bill, at the Spencer mansion. Moments later, Steffy found him lying outside and got him help from a medical professional.
Not long after, doctors ran some tests and confirmed Liam had a brain tumor. Of course, Liam was completely stunned to learn what was happening to him. Steffy decided to stick by his side as his support system. And why wouldn’t she? They have a daughter together — and if Liam were to die, it wouldn’t be an easy road for anyone.
The First Red Flags Around Grace
Grace was the lead doctor throughout all of this (clue number one?). She told Liam that options were available, but she wasn’t sure what any of them would mean for him — or even if he’d survive. If he did, what would his condition be?
But here’s where things start to look shady. Grace had some questionable glances, mysterious phone calls… and just a general vibe that something wasn’t right. Were those the first of many clues?
The Shooting, the Surgery, and the “Miracle”
Fast forward a few weeks: Liam got shot while trying to rescue Steffy from Luna. During the struggle, after taking a bullet himself, Liam grabbed the gun and fired at Luna, who was later confirmed dead at the hospital. Liam survived surgery, but then had to return to reality… still facing the terminal diagnosis of a brain tumor.
Then came the twist. Grace approached Bill and told him there might be a way to save Liam.
“What if I told you there was?” Grace said, as Bill clung to any shred of hope.
Naturally, Bill was ready to do whatever it took, even after Grace warned him that it would cost a fortune. If it meant saving his son, Bill was prepared to pay. And pay he did as he transferred that $1 million.
Now, here’s where it gets really suspicious:
- Grace signed off on Liam’s release without consulting any other medical professionals.
- The $1 million was transferred directly to Grace.
- She told Liam and Bill that nobody could know about this.
- Grace and her doctor friend, Dr. Adhikari, performed the surgery and claimed they removed the tumor — yet we never saw the tumor.
- They sent over MRI scans that “miraculously” showed the tumor was completely gone.
Naturally, people are starting to ask questions… and heck, who can blame them?
What’s Next on The Bold and the Beautiful?
This week’s Bold and the Beautiful preview hints that Bridget and Finn begin to dig deeper as they question Grace’s actions and motives. All of these shady moves make Grace look incredibly suspicious. So we have to ask: Did Liam even have a brain tumor at all? Or was this an elaborate scam to get $1 million out of Bill?
But why? Who keeps calling Grace? What do they want? Are they part of the reason she pulled this off?
We’ll see soon enough!
