Just picture her on the phone, spilling every juicy detail about how Dr. Ted and Nicole’s anniversary night went south (how Ted’s long-buried secret came to light as Leslie exposed him)—probably while multitasking, filing paperwork and eavesdropping on the latest hospital gossip. She’s always in the know, and you know she’d have a lot to say about it.
Beyond the Gates Gossip Queen
Now, imagine her laying her eyes on Leslie aka Lulu—the troublemaker from the anniversary party who’s been snooping around for intel on Laura’s case. Even if Shanice doesn’t know all the specifics, you know she’d put two and two together and instantly suspect something fishy is going on with Leslie. She’s sharp like that.
Shanice might be a recurring character, but every time she pops up, she leaves us asking, “Why isn’t she a main character?”. Ernestine Johnson brings so much energy to the role that you can’t help but be drawn to her whenever she’s on screen. Whether she’s dropping one-liners, spilling the latest tea, or just eavesdropping with a purpose, Shanice always knows everyone’s business—and we love her for it.
We need more of her—like, yesterday. Give her a storyline. Give her a gossip column (Vitals & Scandals). Heck, give her a podcast.
She’s the comic relief we didn’t know we needed.
So let’s say it louder for the people in the back: We need MORE Shanice. Pronto. STAT.
