Wes Ramsey Returns to Days of Our Lives

As the winter promo for the Peacock soap opera Days of Our Lives dropped on November 25, fans couldn’t help but notice a familiar face in a brief but unmistakable scene: Wes Ramsey. Many remember him from his time on General Hospital as the not-so-liked Peter August, but this marks his return to the daytime genre in a new role… or perhaps an old one.

Rumors had been swirling that Ramsey might return to soaps, especially after the recent comebacks of Kelly Thiebaud and Ryan Paevey as Britt Westbourne and Nathan West. However, it appears Ramsey is returning to a former soap home, but it’s not General Hospital, at least not for now.

In the promo, Steve (Stephen Nichols) is seen grabbing a man and demanding answers. That man? Wes Ramsey. Who he’s playing hasn’t been revealed yet, leaving fans buzzing with speculation.

Who Did Wes Ramsey Play on Days of Our Lives?

Some longtime viewers may recall Ramsey’s brief stint on Days of Our Lives back when it aired on NBC. In 2009, he played Owen Kent, hired by EJ (then played by James Scott) to kidnap Stephanie (then played by Shelley Hennig). Owen was eventually arrested, but due to a mishap with the transport vehicle, he escaped and hasn’t been seen on the show since.

Could Ramsey be reprising Owen Kent? Or is he stepping into a completely new role?

Since leaving the soap world after his run as Peter August on General Hospital from 2017–2021, Ramsey hasn’t been on daytime TV or in any project. Off-screen, he’s in a real-life relationship with his former GH co-star, Laura Wright (aka Carly Spencer).
