She was one of our favorite pre-nominees this year and even the one we were hoping would win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, unfortunately, Kelly Monaco (Sam Cain) was not nominated. Monaco put in some of her best work in years, this past year and gave outstanding performances one after another. However, her work didn’t earn her a nomination. The last time Monaco was nominated was back in 2006. Her on-screen partner, Billy Miller (Drew Cain) was nominated, however. We hope next year will be a better year for the talented ‘General Hospital’ star.
Congrats to all the GH Emmy noms & other actors/actresses too. I have to admit that I am shocked & sad about my tv mom not being nominated. She works so hard & kills it in all her scenes. Her scenes this year were heart wrenching & she nailed them all.😢💔— TK Weaver (@tkweaveractor) March 21, 2018
