It’s been nearly a year since viewers last saw Leslie Charleson as Monica Quartermaine on General Hospital. Although the character has been referenced multiple times, she hasn’t appeared on screen since the December 21st, 2023 episode. This has sparked questions among fans about Charleson’s return, and according to a report from Closer Weekly, it seems she is unlikely to return to the ABC daytime sudser.
The actress was seen out to lunch in October 2024, using a walker to get around. Closer Weekly reports that a source informs them that Charleson is “doing OK under the circumstances and in no rush to push herself.” the source also adds, “Although she’d be welcome back to the show with open arms, it’s unlikely she’ll ever return.”
