After the full list of pre-nominees for the upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards to be held on April 30th, 2017 was released today – fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ may be wondering why was Justin Hartley [Adam Newman] not listed! It was simply the actor’s choice not to enter the competition according to the Daytime Emmys’ twitter account. “#JustinHartley chose not to enter the competition this year. He was not “overlooked“, they shared.
We can indeed agree with many fans that Hartley did exceptionally well last year as Adam Newman on Y&R. And, though we would’ve love to see him walk away with the title for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” he opted not to enter the competition – hence the reason he’s not listed as a pre-nominee!
