Just recently there were reports that former ‘Y&R’ star, Michael Muhney got a new job. Now, we can officially confirm that the talented actor and one of the most missed on daytime has been tapped for a role on “The Good Doctor”. For those who are not aware, The Good Doctor is an upcoming medical-drama series developed by David Shore and Daniel Dae Kim. It is based on the 2013 South Korean series by the same name. The tagline for the upcoming drama deems that a young surgeon, Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) with autism and Savant syndrome is recruited into the pediatric surgical unit of a prestigious hospital. The question will arise: can a person who doesn’t have the ability to relate to people actually save their lives?

The series is currently in production for which Muhney is in Vancouver filming. While it is not yet known what role the former ‘The Young and the Restless’ star will play fans can be on the lookout for the series premiere on ABC on September 25, 2017 at 10/9c.
