In the spirit of its 50th anniversary, The Young and the Restless celebrates the legacy of John Abbott and his portrayer, the late Jerry Douglas with a special episode airing on Thursday, June 22.
The episode is filled with classic flashbacks and includes a special appearance by the late actor’s wife, author and television personality, Kym Douglas. Douglas appears as “Zelda Wilford” who shares a special connection to the Abbott family.
Kym is a television personality, actress, and blogger. She is most known for her appearances on L.A. Law, In Living Color, Retired at 35, and The Bold and the Beautiful as a guest star. She was married to Jerry Douglas from 1985 until his death in 2021. She has been candid about her battle with breast cancer as a blogger and has been mentioned as a beauty and lifestyle expert by various media.
