In today’s recap of The Young and the Restless for April 10, 2023: Daniel plots his revenge, Ashley gives Jack a reality check, and Kyle struggles to connect with Summer.
Billy asks Sharon if she has any therapy secrets on how to cope with grief. Phyllis’s death has Sharon reflecting on losing Rey. She says she’s happy she gets to see her new grandchild because it helps. Billy tells her that whenever he is having a bad day, he will hit her up for a baby picture and he leaves.

Summer declines Kyle’s offer of assistance. She wants to do it on her own as a form of restitution for how she treated her mother in her final days. Summer is still of the opinion that Stark or Diane are to blame for what happened to her mother. Kyle advises Summer to speak with someone who can help, perhaps Sharon. Summer isn’t on board. Kyle offers to accompany her as she leaves, but she insists on going alone. Kyle is approached by Sharon, who shares her opinion.
Daniel and Summer meet at the Athletic Club. He explains that he saw the memorial service announcement for their mother and asks her why she hadn’t spoken to him first. Summer apologizes. It’s okay, says Daniel, because he doesn’t think he would have been of much help anyhow. She is shown the lovely drawing Daniel made. It is ideal in Summer’s eyes, and she believes it belongs in the program. Daniel believes she is competent enough to manage the memorial planning by herself. He discusses Jeremy Stark and pledges to figure out exactly what is going on.

Ashley goes to see Tucker. She discusses her argument with Jack with him. Ashley queries whether she offended Tucker by declining to marry him right away. Although she is the only person who can get beyond Tucker’s defenses, he claims that his feelings were hurt. He asserts that although their partnership may initially be one of spite, it will eventually transform into one of love. Ashley claims that she is simply not there yet, even if Tucker is ready. She advises him that he still needs to demonstrate his worth.

When Diane visits Crimson Lights, she notices Kyle seated by himself. He embraces her. Again, Diane apologizes. Kyle updates his mom on Summer’s behavior. Diane believes that she is to blame for Summer’s behavior. She isn’t upset with Summer. Kyle notes that Jack and he have total faith in Diane.
