Y&R Recap for April 17, 2023: Phyllis Gets Rid of Jeremy Stark

Jack and Kyle cannot believe what is happening. They both vow to get Diane bail and have justice served just as it should be. They agree that they must find what damaging evidence the GCPD has against Diane. Kyle wants to do this for his mother but not just for her, he always wants to do it to save his marriage. Kyle encourages Jack not to blame himself and says that they have to be on high alert where Stark is concerned. Jack meets with Christine, he wants her help in getting the best defense attorney for Diane. Jack calls Michael begging him to defend Diane. 

Adam is anticipating learning the gender of his unborn child. While they are sharing laughs and having a pretty good time, Nick and Victor walk in from opposite angles of the coffee house. Adam calls it a family reunion but Nick says he is not there to see him. Nick and Sally leave as Victor confronts his reluctant-to-talk son. He advises Adam to stop pining over Sally and move on. Victor is shocked to learn that Sally is pregnant with Adam’s baby and Nick is still involved with her knowing that she is carrying his brother’s child. 

Nick and Sally are happy to be together. He tells her about his talk with Victoria and she offers to be there for him. Sally tells Nick that she invited Adam to join them at the next doctor’s appointment. 

When they run into one another at the Jazz Lounge, Chance has no idea how much grief Summer is going through. She pledges to take the necessary action. He is questioned by Summer regarding the investigation. When he should be concentrating on Diane, she doesn’t want him to be sidetracked by Stark. He tells her to stay out of it and to refrain from acting out like she did during the memorial ceremony. Kyle enters and informs Chance that he has done enough when Chance offers to drive Summer home. Kyle and Chance argue while Kyle defends his mother. Kyle cautions Chance to avoid his wife as they depart. 

Phyllis and Stark have a heated disagreement. Stark disagrees with Phyllis’ claim that she has a strategy to emerge from hiding. She is reminded by Stark that the goal of the entire scheme was for her to exact revenge on Diane. Since Diane hasn’t been found guilty yet, Phyllis advises him against sending half of the money to his offshore account when he decides he wants to go with her. If necessary, Stark vows to bury Phyllis in a small grave. He grabs a pair of scissors and tells her that she has left him with no other option. Phyllis flees in terror and he chases after her. Later, Phyllis is shown with blood on her face and a pair of bloody scissors in her hand and she makes moves to get rid of a dead body.
