The Young and the Restless recap for June 16, 2023:

Today on The Young and the Restless, Nick and Sharon face off with Cameron, and Faith’s life is in danger.

At the hospital, Elena checks on Sally who is feeling some excruciating pain. Elena leaves to find Sally’s OBGYN and is confident that she is in good hands with Adam. Sally expresses her fear to Adam. Sally blames herself, but Adam reassures her that she is not to blame and that everything will be OK. He tries to divert her attention by mentioning the approaching holidays that their child would enjoy. Elena reappears, informing them that Dr. Chandler is on her way. Elena mentions that they are concerned about the severity of her symptoms, which might be fatal to both her and the baby, and that they may have to induce labor. Elena requests that Adam excuse them for a moment, and Sally requests that he calls Nick and update him.

Adam phones Nick and leaves a message. He hopes Sally is okay. When Adam phones Victor, he begs him to give Nick a message as soon as he hears from him. Victor attempts to figure out what’s going on, but Elena comes back with an update. She informs Adam that the situation has deteriorated and Sally is unconscious. He must choose between saving the baby and saving Sally. Elena apologizes for Adam’s difficulties and warns him that time is of the utmost importance. She grants him two minutes with Sally alone. He implores Sally to wake up. Elena returns to find out what Adam has decided. Elena informs Adam that Sally has been stabilized, but that the baby could not be saved. Sally awakens and asks about the baby. 

Sharon is concerned for Faith. Chance comes, and Nick gives him an update on the battle with Cameron. Sharon is concerned that they have exacerbated the situation. They look for clues in a bag supplied by Chance. Sharon discovers a piece of clothing that belonged to her and notices that Cameron has gone through her belongings in her bedroom. 

Cameron tells a tied-up Faith that she deserves better, it was her mom who left her to die. He compares her to her mother in terms of beauty. He claims to have adored her mother for the previous two decades. He claims that despite everything, he still loves her. 

Cameron phones Sharon to tell her that she has broken his heart. Sharon insists on hearing Faith’s voice. He claims she is alive, and Sharon begs him to let her go, saying she will do whatever he asks. She offers to flee with him. He pledges to return her daughter, but he is unable to specify in what condition. He tells her that if she wants to find her daughter, she will be in the place where she expected to find his dead body all those years ago and hangs up. After a bit of deliberating, they agree to go find Cameron. 

Victor and Nikki make their way to Sharon’s house. They realize the place has been ransacked. On Adam’s call, Victor fills Nikki in, and she wonders what it may be about. Victor contacts Nick and leaves him a voicemail. Victor’s security guy provides an update after which Victor fires him furiously. 

Cameron informs Faith that if she behaves well, he will remove the gag. She agrees and he does. He brings her some water and tells her about her mother. He doesn’t like her father. Faith stands up for Nick. Cameron refers to Nick as an impediment that must be removed before he and her mother can spend time together as a family. He gives her some water to drink, and she spits on him. There’s a commotion, and Cameron announces that it’s showtime. Faith yells at her mother and father not to get any closer because it’s a trap. Sharon appears and attempts to untie Faith.

 Nick arrives as soon as she is free, but Cameron reappears and seizes Sharon. Nick insists that Cameron release Sharon and Faith, and they settle their differences face to face. Cameron offers him the choice of choosing who survives and who dies, and if he can’t decide, he kills both of them. Cameron warns Nick that Faith is carrying a bomb. Sharon uses the knife attached to her leg to sever Cameron’s hand. Chance appears with his gun drawn, but Sharon stabs Cameron and he collapses to the ground.
