The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, December 1, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Sharon helps Chance make an important decision, Ashley tries to keep the peace, and Audra questions Kyle’s loyalty.

Kyle walks up to the Abbott mansion, lost in thoughts about his recent conversation with Tucker. As he enters, he greets Jack and Billy, who are working from home.
Jack expresses his happiness about working in the same room with his brother and son. Billy then asks Kyle how the electrical issue at work is progressing. Kyle informs them that it will be resolved before lunch, and they will all be able to return to the office by the end of the day. While Jack takes a phone call, Billy asks Kyle why he had to what was so important that he had to be late for his first day back at Jabot. Kyle explains that it was important, but Billy remains skeptical. He admits that he still doesn’t fully trust Kyle and warns him to reconsider his priorities. Kyle assures Billy that his concerns are unfounded, but Billy remains suspicious. Eventually, Kyle manages to convince Billy that he is not hiding anything, and Billy is relieved to hear it.
Summer enters the room, and Kyle wonders why she is still there. She says that she is working there and asks where he was. He responds by asking why everyone is asking where he was. Summer remarks that he seems stressed on his first day. Kyle apologizes for his tone and explains that it is just some family drama. He tells her that his uncle refuses to give him the benefit of the doubt. Billy thinks he wants his job and is carrying out some underhanded scheme to get it.
Summer asks Kyle if Billy is accurate. Kyle says he is not working an angle. She then asks Kyle if he regrets stepping down to run Marchetti in the first place. He admits that he does. It might be hard to hear, but maybe he would not have to restart his career if he stayed where he belonged in the first place. Summer says that he would not have any idea how things would turn out, professionally or personally. She wonders if his regret goes back further. She admits that her regret does. Maybe if they did not come back from Milan and if they hadn’t brought Marchetti under the Jabot umbrella, they would still be together. She wonders if their return to Genoa City was the beginning of the end for them.
Jack comes in and asks Kyle for some of his time. On his way out, Kyle tells Summer that everything would have been different if they hadn’t come back, but they did. Chelsea comes by and notices that Summer seems distracted. She asks if everything is ok, and Summer says yes but she just has a lot on her mind. Chelsea tells her that she has the sketches and asks if she wants to take a look at them. Summer says yes but requests that they go somewhere else. Jack tells Kyle how excited he is to have him back at Jabot. Audra calls Kyle and tells him that she needs to see him right away in her suite and that it cannot wait.

Devon expresses his reluctance to play games with Tucker and pretend that everything is okay between them. He believes that deceiving people is Tucker’s specialty, not his own. Devon adds that if they ever reconnect, it has to be authentic. Ashley, on the other hand, suggests that fighting fire with fire is the best way to deal with someone like Tucker. She mentions that Tucker is very angry and taking it out on Chancellor and Jabot, and that if Devon reconnects with him, it might get him to back off.
Ashley insists that she is not asking Devon to pretend, but only to consider forgiving Tucker. However, Devon explains that he is not ready to do so. Abby chimes in, suggesting that they could put a stop to the destruction that Tucker is planning. Ashley thanks them for the meeting and leaves.
Abby compliments Devon, calling him a good man. She tells him that, when it comes to Tucker, she is starting to believe her mother’s advice to fight fire with fire. Devon responds by reminding her that he made it clear to Tucker where he stood when he found out he was lying to him about Mamie. Devon believes that Tucker is not foolish enough to believe that he had a change of heart so quickly. Abby then suggests that, perhaps, Tucker could make the first move and Devon can be receptive.
Devon agrees that he would be willing to make amends for the sake of the family, but he doesn’t think Tucker will come running to him for forgiveness. Abby understands Devon’s stance, but she insists that she will fight for her family and do whatever it takes to defend them. Devon warns Abby that Tucker is not someone to be messed with, but Abby responds by saying that she is just as tough. Finally, Abby recommends that Devon appoint her to the board at Chancellor so that she can demonstrate her commitment to the cause.
Tucker pays a visit to Audra, where he informs her that he had just seen her boyfriend. Audra inquires which one, and Tucker specifies that it was Kyle who had asked several questions. Audra assumes that Kyle is simply trying to clarify the assignment, but Tucker is convinced that Kyle has a hidden agenda. Tucker believes that Kyle is gathering information, just as he had suspected. He then asks Audra what evidence she needs to prove that Kyle can’t be trusted. Audra disagrees with Tucker’s suspicions, stating that she could see the determination in Kyle’s eyes, and that he genuinely wants to help.
Tucker thinks that Kyle is merely seeking his father’s approval. Tucker believes that they can use Kyle to their advantage. Audra cautions him that he is underestimating Kyle, but Tucker insists that someone should tell Kyle the same thing about him. Tucker wonders if Audra is developing feelings for Kyle, but she denies it, stating that they have fun together and that’s it. She emphasizes her unwavering focus on the ultimate goal. Audra warns Tucker that if his fixation starts hindering their success, she jump ship without hesitation.
Tucker urges Audra to trust him again but she questions if she ever truly trusted him. Audra confesses that she had never loved or hated him. This revelation shocks Tucker as their relationship is complicated, but they end up kissing. Later, Tucker sees Ashley downstairs who accuses him of acting like an ass since they last saw each other. Ashley reveals that she had tried to make peace between Tucker and Devon, but it didn’t go well. However, she is determined not to give up.
Y&R Recap Today
Chance pays a visit to Crimson Lights and Sharon welcomes him warmly, asking about his recovery. He replies that he’s doing much better now, with minimal pain and uninterrupted sleep. However, he also wants to discuss something important with her. Sharon shares her excitement about Kirsten Corporate’s progress and tells him that she has to keep the name since SNA is no longer an option. Sharon suggests that they brainstorm a better name together.
As they sit down, he reveals that he’s leaving the law enforcement world and considering a job in the business industry. Sharon is thrilled and thinks it’s a reason to celebrate. They share a kiss, but their moment is interrupted when Summer and Chelsea arrive. Chance has to leave for the station and announces that he’s stepping down as Chief of Police. Summer thinks it’s great news and Chance thanks her for being a good friend. Later, Summer and Chelsea discuss the sketches, missing working with Chloe, Summer’s divorce, and whether Summer likes Chance. Summer denies it at first but later admits her feelings, but knows that he’s seeing Sharon and doesn’t want to interfere.
