The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, December 20, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Traci helps The Abbotts get into the Christmas spirit, Billy stands his ground to defend Jill, and Abby helps Devon with a holiday dilemma.

Tucker returns to his suite and opens the gift package he has for Dominic.
Meanwhile, Ashley, Abby, and Devon are out discussing the excitement of the holidays over a meal. Devon invites Ashley to join them but Ashley inquires if they have considered inviting Tucker as well. Abby says they haven’t discussed Tucker and Christmas yet. However, Devon receives an important work call and has to step aside. Ashley is happy to see her daughter in love and happy. Abby tells her mother that she will never forgive Tucker for what happened in Paris, whether it’s for Dominic’s sake or not. She doesn’t think he should have been allowed back into Genoa City. Meanwhile, Devon runs into Tucker, who wants him to set aside their differences for the holidays. Tucker has a gift for Dominic and wants to drop it off for him. Devon initially declines but Tucker insists that it won’t take long. He then asks Devon if there is any chance that they could spend Christmas Eve together. Devon declines the offer. Ashley, on the other hand, tells Abby that she doesn’t want to talk about Paris and believes that Tucker won’t be an issue anymore.

It’s time for the Abbott family to get into the holiday spirit as Traci, Jack, and Diane decorate the Christmas tree at the Abbott Mansion. Jack expresses his hope that Allie could be there for the holidays, but notes that she and Noah are unable to leave London. Traci agrees, saying that young love can be like that. Kyle arrives with Harrison, who has a gift for Jack and Diane: the mistletoe he hangs over their heads, which obliges them to kiss.
Diane is grateful that things are different for her this year compared to last year. Traci shares that she is grateful for the love of the family, which is one of her favorite things. Meanwhile, Diane decides that she wants to know the history of each of the Abbott ornaments.
Kyle receives a text from Tucker, asking about his progress, and shows it to Jack. They have a plan in place to prove Tucker for corporate theft. Jack expresses how proud he is of Kyle for taking on Tucker by himself for the sake of the family. Ashley arrives and wonders why they are outside in the freezing cold. Jack jokes about being on Santa’s naughty list. Ashley begs them not to talk about Tucker today.

Nate and Mamie arrive at Chancellor Winters, a place Nate never thought he would return to. He asks Mamie if she has any more surprises in store. Billy enters and reveals that he is back in the company, serving as Co-CEO while Lily is away. Billy hopes Nate has finished with his personal agendas. They all agree that their focus should be on Tucker, who is their common enemy. After Billy leaves, Nate advises Mamie that making a power play against Jill would be a bad idea.
Summer and Chance are enjoying their time at Society when Phyllis appears and wonders what they are celebrating. Later, Phyllis tries to get more information from Summer, who tells her that she replaced Sharon when she couldn’t attend a concert with Chance. Phyllis is happy to see her daughter with a good guy. Summer changes the subject by asking Phyllis about any recent developments in her life. Phyllis mentions Tucker McCall and reveals that he offered her a job, but she hasn’t decided whether or not to accept it. Summer reminds her of all the reasons why she shouldn’t take the job and warns her that she won’t be able to trust her if she does. Tucker enters, and Summer angrily warns him to stay away from her mother. After Summer walks out, Phyllis tells Tucker that there is no way in hell that she will ever work with him.
Billy meets with Chance at Crimson Lights to discuss Chance joining the corporate world. Billy offers to help him get started and guide him in the right direction. Pointing out Billy’s history, Chance wonders how is it possible for him to be his mentor.
