The Young and the Restless Recap December 27, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Christine and Danny make a decision about their future, Devon gives Tucker a reality check, and Audra receives news from a familiar face.

Phyllis and Daniel are seated at the GCAC when Danny arrives. Phyllis looks worried and asks Daniel to excuse them so they can talk privately.
As they get to the apartment, Phyllis kisses Danny and says she feels that there has been a change in their dynamic. Danny explains that their improved dynamic is due to them getting along better as co-parents and he is proud of her growth. Phyllis insists that she wants Danny around because he helps her so much, but Danny thinks they are just friends. Phyllis tries to make a move on him again, but Danny pulls away and tells her that he has a lot to lose. He reveals that he and Christine are connecting, and Phyllis argues that Christine is too cold for him. However, Danny suggests they forget what happened and continue their friendship.
At Crimson Lights, Christine meets Lauren and Michael. Michael expresses his sympathy about her break-up with Paul. Christine tells them that she is feeling better now because of a good friend. Lauren and Michael assume that she is talking about Danny and speculate if they are more than just friends.
Daniel enters and they ask about Danny. Lauren suggests calling him, but Daniel informs them that he is presently with his mother for a private conversation.
Michael wonders if they should be worried and Daniel confesses that he thinks his mother has rekindled feelings for his dad. They all agree that this timing is suspicious and they suspect that it’s an attempt to ruin Christine’s happiness.
Later, Christine confronts Phyllis about her intentions. Danny tells her that they had a much-needed talk and he hopes that it clears things up for Phyllis. Phyllis says that it did and thanks him for the conversation before leaving.
Christine then questions Danny, who admits that Phyllis expressed her desire to pursue a relationship with him.

Tucker arrives at Chancellor Winters’ office and asks Devon if they can go to lunch together. Devon declines, suggesting they talk right there. Tucker then tries to explain the cover-up that happened when he was at McCall. He promises that it won’t happen again. Devon expresses regret for letting Tucker see Dominic for Christmas as he thinks more about the cover-up. Tucker tells Devon that he loves the kid and him, and that they are family. He believes that something that happened years ago should not affect their relationship. Tucker claims he has changed since returning to town, but Devon disagrees, accusing him of constantly lying. Devon decides that they should have nothing to do with each other. He then asks Tucker to leave so that he can get some work done if he doesn’t mind.
Diane and Kyle have read the news release regarding Tucker. They are discussing the next stage of their plan, wondering if it is good enough to make Tucker back off for good. Kyle confirms that Jack is fully on board, and they should trust the process and take it step by step. Diane is confident that the Glacade board has lost faith in Tucker. She tells Kyle to give Tucker one of their supposed Jabot products for him to launch as his own. Diane has had enough of Tucker getting in the way of the family’s happiness and promises to take him down.
Ashley comes along, and Diane asks if she has seen the press release of the Tucker scandal. Ashley thinks this could make Tucker angrier and go even harder after Jabot. Diane agrees and says that’s why Kyle and Jack are more ready for battle and won’t back down now. Diane inquires how Ashley is doing and if she has any regrets. Ashley says the only thing she cares about is that they have won and beaten Tucker at his own game.

Audra is sitting in her suite at the GCAC, watching Clarence reveal the cover-up at McCall. Kyle pays her a visit, but when she tries to shut the door, he pleads with her to listen to him. She lets him in and confesses that she’s worried her entire life will be affected by this scandal, and she doesn’t know what it will mean for her.
Kyle doesn’t believe she’ll be as badly affected as she thinks, but Audra worries she’ll be exposed eventually because her name was attached to the email. She’s angry Kyle didn’t warn her, but he claims he had no idea his father was planning this move.
Audra accuses him of lying, but Kyle insists he’s on her side. She realizes he’s gaslighting her and asks him to leave. Kyle argues they were using each other, and Audra calls him a selfish jerk. Kyle thinks they’re similar and urges her to stick with him.
Tucker arrives and questions Kyle about the scandal and asks for information on the fragrance. Kyle says he’ll send it when Tucker decides what he wants to do. As Kyle leaves, Audra asks Tucker if he is backing down and allowing Jack and Ashley to win.
At the Jazz Lounge, Phyllis sees Tucker and tells him the town isn’t big enough for both of them. Tucker agrees and reveals that he is considering leaving town. Ashley appears and spots them.
