The Young and the Restless Recap January 11, 2024
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Victor receives a surprising request from Victoria, Lauren’s loyalty is tested and sparks fly between Adam and Sally.

Nikki is struggling to work in her office. She reaches for her handbag, where her flask is, and throws it in her top drawer before leaving the office.
Nick talks to Victor about sticking to their plan and believes that Newman Real Ventures has the potential to exceed its metrics. Victor is silent, making Nick wonder if he said something wrong. Victor then tells him that he is happy that he and his brother are working together.
Victoria walks in and thanks Nick for stepping in for her, assuming that he was promoted while she is taking her leave of absence. She learns that he was indeed promoted to Co-CEO along with Adam, which stuns her. Victor tells her that his decision has been successful.
Victoria then reveals that she is struggling to think about anything else but Claire. She and Cole are doing everything they can to help her, but Claire doesn’t want to see them anymore. Victor thinks that it might be for the best, but Victoria disagrees. She tells her father that Claire has asked for a favor, which is the reason for her visit. She needs to borrow the company jet and a security team to take Claire to see Jordan. Nikki walks in and says, “Over my dead body.“

Nikki disagrees with the idea, but Victoria insists that it’s necessary for Claire’s closure. Victor is hesitant, but Nick suggests they should hear Victoria out.
Victoria explains that if she doesn’t do this, she may lose her daughter forever. She sees this as her chance to have a relationship with her daughter. Victor doesn’t trust this woman, and his instinct tells him not to agree, but he knows how important it is to support family, so he will grant Victoria’s request. Nikki is angry that her feelings don’t matter. Victor tells her that they do, but he’s caught between the two of them. Nikki feels outnumbered and decides to go back to her office. Nick wonders if she’s okay, but Victor tells him that she’s strong and will fight this and win.
After that, Nikki storms into her office takes a drink from her flask and locks the door. Victor comes knocking, but Nikki ignores him and continues to drink.
Y&R Recap Today
Adam and Sally head over to GCAC for their dinner date. Adam wants to make sure that everything goes perfectly now that they have achieved an actual bonafide date, but Sally tells him that it already feels perfect to her. He proposes a toast with “sparkling water” to honor her wishes when she said that alcohol would be bad behavior. Sally is amazed that he thought of everything. Then, he toasts to them.
Sally eats from his plate, and Adam says it feels like old times. She notes that sometimes his food tastes better and that she worked up an appetite after being a huge success today. Sally also mentions that it’s impressive how well Adam and Nick are getting along, and she feels guilty for her part in the fractured relationship between the brothers.
Adam reminds her that the relationship was fractured years before she came to town. They decide to focus on their date and shift the conversation to her client and dessert. Sally tells Adam that she has chocolate chaffles in her mini bar, which makes Adam smile. Adam thinks that going to her room would lead to trouble and asks if she is sure about this. Sally says she is sure that she doesn’t want this evening to end. He adds that he would love to come to her room for the chaffles, but he made assumptions about her in the past and doesn’t want to make that mistake again. They talk about how much they’ve gained and lost. As they head upstairs, Nick walks in and spots them holding hands. Adam hopes that this doesn’t ruin things for them, citing that they had a great day as Co-CEOs. Nick tells him that they are good. Upstairs, Adam and Sally end their evening by making out in bed.

Nick enters the bar and orders a scotch. While his back is turned, a drunk Nikki walks in and spots him. Nick receives a call and has to step out, and Nikki hides from him.
Lauren enters and sees Nikki, who is rushing out, and tells her that she just had a meeting with Victoria, Victor, and Nick, which made it seem as though Nikki’s feelings were meaningless. Lauren notices that Nikki is drunk and tells her that she won’t find peace in a bottle. Lauren offers to take her home and call Victor, but Nikki begs her not to. Nikki reveals that she can’t go home because she doesn’t want Victor to see her in this state. Lauren suggests an idea.
Lauren takes Nikki upstairs to a room and orders coffee. Lauren tells Nikki that she is not alone even though she feels that way. Nikki admits that Lauren is helping by keeping a secret. The coffee arrives, and Nikki tells Lauren that she won’t take another drink.
Victor calls, but Nikki says she can’t answer it, so she begs Lauren to answer and lie to him. Nikki promises to tell Victor everything after she gets through the night. Lauren answers and tells Victor that she had a fashion emergency at Fenmore’s, and Nikki, with her fashion sense, came to the rescue, and they will probably be working through the night. Victor asks to speak with Nikki, but Lauren tells him that she cannot come to the phone. Victor then asks if Nikki has been drinking, and Lauren tells him yes. He begs her to keep an eye on Nikki.
Nate and Victoria bump into each other at Crimson Lights. Nate checks in on Victoria and asks if everything is alright after hearing about her leave of absence from Newman. Victoria reveals that she heard about Nate saving her mother from drinking and also about Nate being back at Chancellor-Winters.
Victoria admits that her life has been turned upside down and she doesn’t know what to do. Nate offers to lend an ear and be there for her. Victoria expresses her appreciation for Nate’s advice and explains that Claire Grace is her daughter, the baby she thought had died after she was born. She tells Nate about what happened with Jordan. Nate thinks that Victoria is doing the right thing by letting Claire see Jordan because it could lead to some healing. Victoria says she misses talking to Nate and he offers to be her friend and listen to her whenever she needs.
