The Young and the Restless Recap January 9, 2024
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Ashley reunites with Cole, Kyle loses control, and Summer surprises Chance.
Y&R Recap Today, January 9, 2024
Summer walks into Society and sees Chance. She approaches him and says that Chancellor-Winters cannot be that demoralizing since he has barely even started. She wonders if he regrets quitting the force and assures him that his secret is safe with her. Chance admits that it has been a strange morning. Summer offers to help him and quickly returns with a bag of shirts and ties from Marchetti. He is hesitant to accept them since he cannot afford them, but she assures him that she has the CEO discount. Summer senses that Chance may have something else on his mind and encourages him to talk to her about it. Though he is reluctant at first, Summer suggests that they grab lunch and talk things over.
Ashley is surprised to see Cole. He greets her and compliments her beauty. Ashley is happy to see him and asks him about his reason for coming back to town. Cole reveals that it’s a private family matter. They start discussing Ashley’s recent marriage, and she tells him that it didn’t end well. He sympathizes with her and tells her that she deserves better.
Victoria walks in, and Ashley realizes that Cole has been in touch with her. She leaves them to talk. Cole and Victoria discuss keeping Claire a secret, but Cole thinks revealing the truth will set them free from Jordan’s control. Victoria gets a call from Memorial, and as they get there, Claire reveals that she wants to see Jordan one last time to tell her how she really feels.

Sharon arrives at Crimson Lights and sees that Adam and Nick are getting along. She is surprised and asks them for an explanation. Nick reveals that their father warned them to work together or find another job, so they have decided to find some common ground. Sharon thinks they are on their way to a great partnership and that they will achieve great things together. Adam suggests that they share their idea with the boss, so he leaves while Nick stays behind and agrees to meet him there later.
Nick confesses to Sharon that he never thought he would work with Adam. Sharon reminds him that change is good. She then tells Nick that she has broken up with Chance and that there were no hard feelings. Sharon also talks about her company, and Nick says he wishes he could share in her success. Sharon acknowledges that Nick helped her to reach this point. Nick tells Sharon that he believes she will be too busy with work to date, but Sharon says she is not giving up on love. She believes that love will find her again, but she is in no rush.
Adam unexpectedly runs into Sally at the GCAC, and he appears happy to see her. He confesses that things seem to be going well in his life. Sally tells him that her life is also going well but that she needs to reschedule their dinner. Adam suggests they have lunch right now so that they can catch up and share their good news. Sally agrees to have lunch instead of dinner, and they sit down to talk. Sally shares that she recently acquired some new clients, while Adam reveals that Victor appointed him and Nick as Co-CEOs. Adam then emphasizes the importance of getting along with Nick and notes that so far it is going well.

Audra expresses to Tucker that he still has feelings for Ashley and cautions him that their plans will fail if he reunites with her. Tucker is reluctant to discuss Ashley, but Audra pleads with him to assure her that she will have ownership of Jabot after their plans come to fruition. She also asks him whether Ashley will interfere with their plans or if she can trust him. Tucker confesses that he doesn’t know how he will react if Ashley changes her mind. Audra is desperate to save her career but realizes that it won’t happen with Tucker, so she leaves.

Meanwhile, Tucker receives a call from Kyle about Audra revealing the truth to him. Ashley comes home and learns what happened. Kyle wants to go to the office, but Jack thinks he should stay home. Kyle leaves anyway. Jack offers his help to Ashley, who confesses that Tucker is trying to make her believe his painful lie. Jack thinks she still has way too much of Tucker in her head.
Kyle visits Audra and confronts her about telling Tucker their plans. She claims that she did it to protect him, but Kyle sees through her and confronts her about her motives. Audra finds it amusing and challenges Kyle to do his best, calling him “golden boy.” Later, Tucker arrives and tells Kyle that he doesn’t need him to steal a Jabot product and never did. Tucker goads Kyle by insulting Jack, leading Kyle to punch him in the face.
