Get ready for another blast from the past. This time, it is Adam’s past. Actress Tina Casciani is returning to The Young and the Restless as Riza Thomson, a character tied to Adam Newman’s past, beginning March 23.
Riza’s name recently came up when Nick, Sharon, and Adam were trying to track down Matt Clark. For longtime viewers, the mention of Riza was a reminder of one of the more complicated chapters in Adam’s life.
A Look Back at Adam’s “Spider” Days
Some fans may remember that Riza was part of Adam’s life during the period when he was going by the name Spider.
Tina Casciani first debuted on the show in 2019. Interestingly enough, that was the same year Mark Grossman stepped into the role of Adam Newman.
At the time, Adam was suffering from amnesia, which led him down a very different path than the one fans were used to seeing. During that period, he crossed paths with Riza.
Riza later appeared again in 2020 when Adam traveled to Las Vegas with Chance Chancellor.
Riza Returns as Nick and Adam Head to Vegas
Now Riza is about to pop back up again.
According to reports, she will appear when Nick and Adam travel to Las Vegas as part of a plan to lure Matt Clark out of hiding. Whether that plan actually works remains to be seen.
But if Riza is involved, there is a good chance things could get complicated.
For those unfamiliar with the actress behind the role, Tina Casciani is an actress, model, and dancer who was born in New York City to a Brazilian mother and Italian father.
She has appeared in several films and television projects over the years, including Role Models, The Nevsky Prospect, Jane the Virgin, and Pandora.
