The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, December 13, 2023:

What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Devon and Nate reach an agreement, Heather makes herself at home with Daniel during Lily’s absence, and Victoria and Cole vow to find out the truth about Claire.

Y&R Recap Today

Heather visits Daniel with coffee, apologizing for coming by unannounced. She explains that she just picked up the keys to her new place and decided to stop by since Lucy told her he was there. Heather got him a coffee, saying it’s the least she could do after everything he did for her. She mentions that she would have brought one for Lily, but she thought she would be at the office by now. However, Daniel tells her that Lily is out of town and may be gone for a while. They discuss Lily’s rush to be there for Mattie, and Daniel mentions how it makes him think about all the time he missed in his own daughter’s life. Heather encourages him, saying that he is there now, and that’s all that really matters.

Heather tells Daniel that she and Lucy will move into their new place soon. He offers to help if she needs it, but Heather says they have no heavy lifting to do, but she appreciates his offer. Daniel hopes Lucy is as bossy with Heather about her room as she was with him. Later, Heather invites Daniel to join her for lunch.

Y&R Recap Today

Nikki returns to the office and finds Audra there. Audra is happy to see her but brings up the seizure she heard about. Nikki clarifies that there was no seizure as she was misinformed. Audra then mentions that she left messages for Claire, but she hasn’t responded. 

Nikki snaps and apologizes for it later. She explains that Claire was not who they thought she was and that she and her Aunt planned to kill Nikki and her family. Audra is shocked but confesses that she had a feeling Claire was not trustworthy. Nikki asks Audra to keep the experience discreet and Audra updates her on what happened while she was gone. 

Audra offers to take Nikki out for lunch, but she declines, saying she’s not ready to go out in public. Nikki asks her to bring back a salad and takes a flask from her bag after Audra leaves. When Audra returns with the salad, Nikki says she’s feeling tired and worn out and may not make it through the day. Audra offers to take care of things while Nikki heads home. 

Y&R Recap Today

While sitting at Crimson Lights, Nate tells Devon that he is excited to start his new position. Devon hopes they can work together successfully this time and says he will probably ask for more from Nate since Lily is away. 

Nate feels happy to be accepted back into the company and the family. Victoria walks in and greets Nate as he leaves to go to the office. She tells Devon that she’s happy to see them getting along. 

Devon confirms that Nate is back working at Chancellor Winters, and Victoria introduces Cole to him before he leaves. 

Cole found it unsettling to be back in the house. He discovered a toothbrush and some other items that they could use for the DNA test. Cole and Victoria agree that they feel inclined to help Claire regardless of how the DNA results come out. When the results arrive, they know they will still have more questions. 

Michael returns and tells them that he now understands why they have both been so conflicted. He believes that Jordan really did a number on Claire and that she needs psychiatric care, not a jail cell. Michael reveals that he will take the case and do everything in his power to get Claire the help she needs.

Devon visits Society and confides in Abby about his day. Abby worries that he may regret rehiring Nate. 

While out to grab a quick lunch, Heather and Daniel bump into Abby and Devon. Heather shares that she has landed a new job at Chancellor Winters and feels more balanced than she has in a while. 

Abby keeps a close eye on Heather and Daniel and expresses to Devon her pleasure that Heather has brought Lucy to town. She also feels that Daniel will miss Lily a lot while she is away. Meanwhile, Daniel is impressed to learn that Heather has achieved level 72.

When Nikki arrives home, she checks to see if Victor is there. She goes over to the vodka bottle and turns the bottle to her head. When she hears Victoria calling out, “Mom, are you home?” she quickly puts it down.
