The Young and the Restless Recap for Today, December 4, 2023:
What happened today on The Young and the Restless: Victor vows revenge, Nikki struggles with her drinking, and Jill gives Billy the third-degree.

Christine is seated at a table at the GCAC, looking at her mail when Danny walks in. He wonders if it’s all bills, but she clarifies that it’s just junk. Danny tells her that he has finished some last-minute touches on the song they collaborated on.
Christine thinks that Danny did it all, but he tells her that she definitely contributed to the process. As she inquires about the song’s progress, he offers to let her listen to it on one condition – if she makes it a breakfast/lunch date. After listening, Christine tells Danny that she thinks it is beautiful. Danny says, just like her.
Later, after their meal, Christine tells Danny that his song is stuck in her head. He tells her that being with her gave him the push to put the song together. She says that she is really happy about that. He notes that between her and Phyllis, he found the inspiration that he needed for his music. Christine is surprised to learn that Phyllis has also inspired Danny. He thinks that Phyllis is trying to improve herself and deserves credit for it. Danny advises Christine not to compare herself to Phyllis because he doesn’t.

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea asks Summer about her feelings for Chance. Phyllis joins them and greets Chelsea. Phyllis wonders if she is interrupting, but Summer tells her that they were just discussing Marchetti business. Phyllis thinks it looked more intimate than that. Chelsea excuses herself, leaving the mother-daughter duo to talk. Phyllis tells Summer that she feels like she is being shut out and the fact that Summer doesn’t trust her really hurts. Summer suggests they can talk about it later, but Phyllis wants to clear the air. She thought things were getting better between them, but every time she gets close to Summer, she puts up a wall..
Summer apologizes to her mother and agrees that she should give her a chance. Phyllis then asks if this is about Chance. Summer clarifies that she is not pursuing him, but Phyllis thinks that it doesn’t stop her from thinking about him or wanting him. Summer admits that she keeps going back and forth between considering working things out with Kyle and wanting Chance so badly that it makes her dizzy sometimes.
Phyllis is shocked to hear that Kyle is still on Summer’s radar. Summer notes that maybe she is just trying to distract herself from her feelings for Chance. Summer says that Chance is unattainable, but Phyllis says she learned in life that nothing is unattainable if you want it badly. Summer notes that she is focusing on work, and it is for the best. Phyllis promises not to meddle next time. Summer then asks her mother if there is anything interesting going on in her personal life. Phyllis suggests they grab lunch, and she will tell her all about it.

Billy meets Jill at Society. She tells him that she believes Mamie Johnson is trying to deceive her and may be planning an attack, as Mamie has joined forces with Tucker McCall to take over the company. Jill asks Billy how satisfied he is with his current position at Jabot.
Jill reveals that the siblings are considering bringing Nate back into the business, despite his past behavior. She suggests that she needs to bring in her own family members to upper management to counteract this move. Jill asks Billy if he would be willing to leave Jabot and work with her at Chancellor-Winters.
Chelsea joins them and Billy tells her about Jill’s proposal. Chelsea asks if it’s a bad time and Jill says it is while Billy assures her that it’s not. Billy tells Chelsea that his mother made him an interesting offer to return to Chancellor-Winters. Billy declines, stating that he wants to stay at Jabot to prevent Tucker from taking over the company. Jill explains that she has no one to rely on in the company, unlike Jack who has Kyle, Diane, and Ashley.

Victor, his family and Cole are back home after the ordeal. Victor promises that Jordan and Claire will pay for what they’ve done and end up in prison where they belong. Nikki is staring at a bottle of vodka, still shaken by the whole experience. They discuss how the women were seeking revenge for things that never happened. Victoria finds the whole ordeal heartbreaking, while Nick notes that the women somehow knew about Nikki’s past and took advantage of it. Nikki doesn’t want to talk about it and insists that she will be fine.
Victor praises her strength, but Nikki wonders how she could have been so foolish to fall for Claire’s deception. Victor assures her that the women will pay for their actions. Victoria feels sorry for Claire, who was trained by Jordan to hate them, but Nikki sees her as a heartless sociopath and wonders how Victoria could feel anything but contempt for her.
Victor and Nick both believe that Claire should not be shown any mercy. However, Victoria suggests that they should also consider Jordan’s role in the situation. Jordan had been filling Claire’s head with lies for years, and Victoria believes that Claire is also a victim of Jordan’s manipulation. Nick wonders if Jordan is truly related to Eve Howard.
Cole mentions that his mother had an aunt, but he is unsure if it is Jordan. Nikki points out that it would be strange for Jordan to have such a close knowledge of Eve’s life without being close to her. Victor then reveals that he had his people investigate Jordan, and the results have just come in. According to his people, Jordan is Eve’s half-sister, sharing the same mother but having a different father. He also found out that Jordan did register as a Nurse at Memorial for a short stint during the time that Victoria gave birth to baby Eve, and then she disappeared after the baby died. Victoria says that it cannot be true that Jordan stole their daughter.
Cole is confused and doesn’t understand what’s going on. Nikki suggests that this is about Eve, which means it’s about Victor and her. Cole doesn’t think that Claire is trying to deceive them, as she seems genuinely convinced that they are her parents. Victoria is struggling to comprehend the situation and leaves in frustration, with Cole following her. Victor insists that they need proof before they can accept Jordan’s claims. Nick suggests that a DNA test would be a good idea.
At Crimson Lights, Victoria expresses her unease to Cole about the situation. She asks him how he knew to go to the house, and he explains that he received a text from Nikki saying that Victoria was unwell. Victoria realizes that the text must have been sent from her mother’s phone while she was incapacitated. Cole reveals that he was in LA researching a book and then flew up to Oregon, where he fell into the trap. Victoria wonders if Jordan is telling the truth about Claire being their daughter. Cole suggests that they need to find out the truth by confronting Claire again.
As they are leaving, Christine expresses her enthusiasm about Danny’s upcoming album. She requests that he sends her the song so that she can listen to it. When she asks for the song’s title, he tells her, “Hawaii On My Mind“. She compliments the title and kisses him just as Phyllis and Summer walk in.
