The Young and the Restless Recap for Tuesday, October 24, 2023:
Today on The Young and the Restless, Nick confronts Victor about his recent behavior, Christine surprises Danny, and Daniel and Lily argue about Heather.

Adam is sitting in Victor’s office and trying to figure out what his doodle means when Nate comes in and asks what the hell he’s doing. Nate accuses him of plotting to take over the company and Adam denies that was what he was doing. Nate says he will have to tell Victor that Adam was in his office and Adam informs him that Victor asked him to bring some papers to him. Nate questions what papers Victor wants and Adam tells him that they’re private. He grabs the papers and tells Nate that his work for the day is finished and that he will see him tomorrow before leaving the office.

Adam runs into Nick at the Jazz Room, but Nick doesn’t want anything to do with him. Adam asks if they can put everything aside so they can talk about their father. Nick tells him that when Victoria brought it up to him he thought she was exaggerating because she was bitter about her demotion. Adam asks what changed and Nick wonders if Victor is acting like this because of a grand plan.
Nick tells him about Victor messing up Nikki and Victoria’s names and Adam says that it was like when he called him by Nick’s name. Nick says it’s more than just that though and Adam asks what else happened. Nick hesitates but finally tells Adam that Victor commented on Adam and Sally expecting a baby. Adam is shocked that Victor forgot that they lost the baby and Nick tells him that he reminded him and he just changed the subject.
Adam tells Nick about Victor going off on him but then acting like it never happened and then ranting about Nick and Victoria trying to sabotage him. He tells his brother that he went to Victor’s office looking for clues and shows him the doodle he found. Adam tries to decipher the doodle but Nick thinks he is reading too much into it. Adam thinks Nick is hedging because he doesn’t want him involved and Nick agrees with him, accusing him of wanting to use Victor’s condition to his advantage.
Adam tells him that he can’t ignore if something is wrong with their father. Nick tells him they can deal with it without him. Adam thinks the best way to help Victor is to work together and give him the family unity he craves. Adam asks Nick if he hates him so much that he will refuse to work with him to do what is best for their father. Nick admits that Adam sounds sincere and Adam asks him to give him a chance to prove it.
Adam admits that he made mistakes but he wants to do what is right for their father. Nick tells him to stay out of it and he will handle it before leaving. Adam sits and has a drink and then makes a call to a doctor and asks for a meeting about his father.

Victoria meets Nate at Society and tells him about her visit with Nikki and Victor. Nate isn’t surprised that Victor doesn’t want to talk to someone and Victoria tells him that there is tension between her parents. Nate thinks Victor could be afraid of what a specialist might find but Victoria says she can’t imagine that with Victor. Nate says that Victor would assume that he could fool any specialist unless what was going on was too serious to hide. Victoria agrees and is even more worried.
Victoria tells Nate that all of her life Victor has been almost a mythical being so it’s hard for her to imagine him vulnerable. She apologizes for dragging him into her family issues again but he tells her that it’s okay. She asks what he wants to talk to her about and he says that it’s about her family issues. He tells her that he has made it a point to keep an eye on Adam while she was worried about Victor.
Victoria says that Adam would use it to his advantage and Nate tells her that he thinks that is happening. He tells her about finding Adam sitting behind Victor’s desk like he belonged there. She asks what Adam said when he caught him and Nate tells her that he said he was getting papers for Victor. Victoria asks if he believed him and Nate tells her that he did not. He tells her that when he spoke to Adam the first thing Adam said was that they had to look out for the company. Victoria tells him that there’s no doubt that Adam will try to use Victor’s condition against him.
Y&R Recap Today
Danny, Phyllis, Daniel, and Lily have dinner together at Daniel’s new apartment and toast to his new digs. Phyllis comments that she’s glad that he’s staying and Daniel says he has many reasons, Lily being a big one. They also compliment his success with Omega Sphere and he gives the credit to Lily for believing in him. Phyllis brings up Heather and Lucy moving back and Daniel says he is happy that he gets to spend more time with his daughter.
Phyllis tells them that she encouraged Heather to move back so she could spend more time with her granddaughter. Danny and Phyllis tell stories from when Daniel was young and Daniel joins in with them. Danny praises Daniel for his talent and how far he has come and compliments Phyllis on turning her life around as well. Phyllis thanks Daniel for the chance he gave her and they all toast. Daniel gives his parents a tour after they eat and he tells them that it feels good to be a family. Phyllis tells him how happy she is to have both her kids in town.
Daniel tells Danny that the guest room is his whenever he is ready for it and Danny tells him he will take him up on that offer. Danny and Phyllis leave and Daniel thanks Lily for putting up with them, especially Phyllis. Daniel is suspicious of Phyllis but Lily defends her. Daniel thinks that Phyllis is trying to push him toward Heather but Lily wonders if he is the one making it about Heather. Daniel tells her that Phyllis wants Heather to be an issue for them and Lily tells him to stop making her one. Daniel promises her that she isn’t before they hug.

Danny and Phyllis go get coffee from Crimson Lights and talk about how well the night went. Danny tells her that Daniel and Lily seem happy but Phyllis says she doesn’t see it. Danny warns her against meddling while she is rebuilding her relationship with Daniel. She says that she’s not but she doesn’t want to see Daniel get his heart broken again. Danny tells her that second chances for couples can work out and she thanks him for reminding her of that with a smile on her face.
Danny and Phyllis are flirty with each other and Phyllis tells him that it felt good to be with him and their son and Danny agrees. She tells him that she has an early morning and has to get home and they share a charged look as they say goodnight. Danny goes to sit down and thinks about it until Christine comes in and says his name.
